Art Nouveau & Deco
|
At the turn of the 20th century, artists revolted against the societal trend towards industrialization. Turning to Nature for inspiration, the Art Nouveau period (circa 1890 to 1915) came into being. This "new art" relied upon decoration based on the linear patterns of sinuous curves that often suggested water lines. The Art Deco period (circa 1915 to 1935) that followed used more angular decorative patterns as its distinguishing characteristic.
Our collection of fine Art Nouveau and Art Deco bronzes represents many of the finest artworks of these eras.
