"Liberty Enlightening the World" by F.A. Bartholdi

This outstanding sculpture that is now known as the Statue of Liberty was originally entitled Liberty Enlightening the World by its creator, French sculptor Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi (1834-1904).  Please be sure to click on the "View More Images" link above to see all  of the detailed images of this artwork.

Our bronze casting was molded directly from the Avoirin model used by Bartholdi to promote investment by the citizens of France in his larger-scale project.  This sculpture was made to this smaller scale by the artist himself, and it captures all the classical majesty of the original standing in New York Harbor, without requiring a dedicated island to display it!  Nevertheless, mounted onto a black marble base and standing 36" high by 11" wide (91 cm high x 28 cm wide), this sculpture makes a substantial statement in any residential or commercial setting.

"Lady Liberty" has been cast to the highest standards in our own California art foundry, using over 50 lbs. (23 kg) of pure bronze.  We have finished her with a gorgeous brownish-green patina finish.  The sculpture carries Bartholdi's signature as well as the year of its creation, 1876.  Each sculpture also has the Andevan Bronzeworks foundry mark and is stamped with its unique casting number.
